Our Story

The Full Story

Horses have been part of my life since before I could walk. My older sister had a pony, and by the time I was five, I was already in the arena, competing. Rodeo became my world—I junior high rodeoed, high school rodeoed, and earned a college rodeo scholarship. Barrel racing, rodeo, and the grit that comes with it have always been my foundation.

Most of my journey has been with Quarter Horses, though I’ve spent time with Thoroughbreds as well. But the turning point that led to Bad B Performance Horses wasn’t in the winner’s circle—it was in the stall with an injured horse.

When one of my own horses required shoulder surgery, I stepped into the world of rehab and recovery for the first time. Not long after, another horse strained a suspensory. Those experiences cracked something open in me. I realized how little I really knew about what it meant to truly help a horse heal, grow strong, and stay sound for the long haul. That’s when the learning began—and hasn’t stopped since.

Bad B Performance Horses was born out of that commitment: to do better for the horse. Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to learn from some of the best in the business—people who helped me see that most "bad habits" in horses are actually silent cries for help. So now, I dig deep. I use every resource, every bit of knowledge, and an open mind to get to the root of what a horse is experiencing. Because when they feel their best, they perform their best.

Here, the horse always comes first. I advocate for them, listen to them, and work hard to build that quiet bond where trust and healing can happen. I want every horse that comes through my program to go home stronger, healthier, and more confident than when they arrived. And I want every client to know they’re supported, heard, and part of a team that puts the well-being of their horse above all else.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a purpose. And I’m just getting started
